We always open one present on Christmas Eve. The boys still haven't figured out that it is usually pajamas! Jacob was so excited he kept saying, "Oh, goody, goody, goody!!!" You had to be there to appreciate this face!

My family has always gone to the late night candle-light service at church. With little kids, it has been hit and miss, but Marcus offered to stay home and get some sleep. Emma got the choice to go for the first time and was sooooo excited! She did great and then crashed on the way home around 11:30 pm!
CHRISTMAS MORNING
Kathryn knew exactly what stocking to head for as it was the only one with a big stuffed animal beside it.
When we have Christmas on my side of the family, we open presents one at a time. The boys really had to work on their patience and usually helped eachother open. I hope that it will create a love for watching others, patience, and gratitude. (You can see their cousins, who are used to this, curious about what JACOB was opening). Jacob actually did better at watching others than Jackson, who was ready for his next gift very quickly!
