Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

What to do with all those baby towels?

I can't stand having big bulky towels on my head!  They are great for the bod, but keep falling off my head and you can't get a shirt over them.  I know you can buy special hair towels, but my frugal-self found an easier solution...baby towels!  Just use the hood to curve around your head and it stays put for a long time!  You can get really crafty and sew on a piece of elastic to secure the "tail", too!

Wacky Wednesday

Wacky Wednesday in 1st grade.  Have fun, Miss Doornink!

My "Nastics" Girl!

Ryn stated gymnastics a few months ago and LOVES it! She basically does obstacle courses, but her few real skills have improved some.  Being under age 3, I go onto the floor with her and make sure she is staying on task.  I am a little nervous once her birthday comes and they don't let Mama out there anymore!
Today was Mini Olympics day where they do little routines.

She would stop looking at me to push up!

Not sure why I can't rotate these...sorry.

She got a little distracted half way through, but still cute!

Small Group Leavenworth Trip

Five couples from our small group took off for a short weekend to Leavenworth.  It was great to be away from responibilities at home and spend time with each other.  Thank you to all who helped with childcare!

Everytime I visit this town I am in awe.  I love how it is surrounded by mountains and, of course, themed!

We stayed at the Bavarian Lodge, which is in a great spot, very cute, and many extra little touches.

Wine Tasting!

We all had lunch at Pav's Crepery.  I think everyone loved there food and the waiter was great.  Heather can't control her laughing about choking on a pickle.

We went miniture golfing on the "real" putting course.  The ladies were actually beating the men the first nine.  Then we started feeling rushed by the newlywed couple behind us and started to lose our concentration!

Clear blue sky overhead and Heather gets pooped on!

This course comes complete with dear and goats!

Beautiful...the course and Christun!

Mary did help the team with 2 hole-in-ones!  We decided it was Baby Calla helping her skills.

Thanks everyone for a great weekend.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day I took the boys to see The Avengers.  Marcus went the night before and they were begging to see it.  We went to one theater that was showing it in our preferred 2D method, but they were sold out.  They said the other theater still had some tickets for the 3D showing.  We raced over and got the last 3!  And seeing that we were fairly early, we had no problem getting good seats.  It was fun hanging out with they boys...even if my eyes were hurting!

Since none of my family can cook, I knew I would not have a "day of rest" in the meal department.  Luckily, I had s'more fixin's on hand for a quick, fun dessert that made my kiddos smile!  I do enjoy being a mom to three wonderful kids!

My Goofy Gus!

A few shots that didn't make it to a frame, but I thought I would share with you all the goofiness we get to see everyday!

Upwards Soccer

This was the first year we put the boys in Upwards soccer and we loved it!  It was so well organized, teaches Biblical values, and is centered on encouragement.  The boys had fun and Jacob really seemed to figure out the game.  There were many Satuday mornings when he could hardly have enough patience to get to his game!

Spring Things

We went to Pullman in late April to see the 16th grandbaby on Marc's side!  He is so sweet and perfect, I wanted to take him home!

Both of Ryn's grandmas wear glasses, so when she sees a pair lying around, she doesn't hesitate to "be grandma".
