I Just Can't Get Enough!

I can't help but take pictures of her doing her favorite thing these days! Every time I go to make a meal or do dishes, this is her activity. I really wanted Grandma Raylene and Aunt Stacie to see this picture, since she is wearing a Grandma outfit (no she did not wear the camo-crocs to church) and playing with her doll from Stacie. Plus...she put the hat on herself!

19 Months and a Glimpse of Girly-ness!

Yesterday, on Ryn's 19 month birthday, she fell in love with her baby doll. As I was working in the kitchen, Jacob and Ryn played together very well and for a long time! (I added this pic because I thought it was cute that she got her tray to have her animal cracker snack). When Jacob was done, Ryn turned her attention to her baby doll.

I first found her in her room, baby on lap, playing and showing the baby her drum. As I went to grab my camera, she had decided to put her baby to nap.

I went to finish cooking dinner and she brought her baby out for "cwackers".

All on her own, she snatched the wash rag from the counter and proceeded to clean her baby's face after her meal!

A good thing to remember about this episode, even at this age kids watch and learn EVERYTHING we say and do!

This song came to my mind as I was typing, but I revamped it for a parents perspective:

Leaving Bible study the other, I got to watch my boys take Kathryn by the hands and walk towards our car. Of course, I didn't get the cutest picture before the moment was over, but it was one of the sweet scenes to savor!

I feel freedom coming! We went to Kids Castle the other day and Kathryn did great roaming around and playing without me having to be right on her tail. She is such a climber that she made it up into the structure with no problem and no fear!

Our New Church Building

Our church started almost 8 years ago and has been meeting in a high school. Every week, men head there early in the morning to set up the music, classrooms, nursery, coffee, etc. Then after church they take it all down. We have never had a central place to hold meeting, dinners, or events, but have needed to rent a location or use homes. The church started looking for a building several years ago. After many "close-calls", the leadership decided it wasn't a wise move and basically said if we were going to have a building, God would have to give us one!

Well...that is exactly what happened! A church in town was needing to close. They chose to gift their building to us! What a blessing! We have done some major renovations, including needing a new roof due to the snow in '96. Our building is (hopefully) nearing completion in the next few weeks. We met as a congregation there last Sunday to see the progress. I looks great! I wish I had pictures of it before, so you can see the drastic changes.

The roof used to be a flat warehouse style, maybe only 10-12 feet high. What a difference!
