Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

I'm Ready for Spring!

As with the rest of the state, we got buried in snow last week.  We are finally starting to have some warmer (40 degrees) days to melt the roads, but I think it might be a long time before we see the grass again.

I wish I had waited another day to take this picture.  The icicles grew another foot and created an "ice wall" as they all attached to each other.  We finally knocked them down to ease the weight on the gutters.

We are finally at the point where all 3 kids like playing in the snow and, luckily for me, Ryn only likes it for about 30 minutes.  She gets a little fresh air and then she and I get to warm up while the boys keep playing!

A friend of mine was brave enough to walk four kids down to the park to sled.  They were wiped out the rest of the day! Thanks for making it a fun snow day, Suzanne!

Christmas in Pullman 2012

We spent Christmas and the week after in Pullman with Marc's family.  My kids did not want to leave!
Christmas Eve was alive with many cousins, games, and Jim reading from the Bible.  It was a little humorous this year as the attention span of  a 6 yr old, 3 almost 5 yr olds, a 3 yr. old and Ryn (2), was stilll developing.  It wasn't quite the quiet, low light, carol singing Eve we had in the past, but it was good for the heart!
I love this pic, as the boys knew exactly what to do and Ryn was taking it all in as a "brain-functioning" toddler!  I wonder if she was thinking, "Wait!  I get to finally open these gifts?!".  She got into the swing of things quickly and loved all her surprises in her stocking.

Cousin Kayla's dog had puppies the week before Christmas.  JJ wished one was his gift.  Sorry.

With so many people for Christmas dinner, Raylene decided to go informal this year.  The kids had fun at their own table.

This was Ryn's favorite spot and outfit (pj's) for the entire week.

This was Marc's favorite spot for 2 days straight.  Chuggin' the cider and reading the Ryan Leaf book I gave him.

We took a trip to Lewiston for the day.  First stop was an arcade/fun center.  I had never rock climbed before, but it was fun.  Especially repelling!

At dinner, a clown came around and made AMAZING balloons.  Our group walked out with a spiderman, a t-rex, a pterodactyl, a flower with a lady bug, a monkey, and a crown.  Our "tip pot" kept growing seeing his time and skill.

Ryn got to go to her first movie...Alvin's Chipwrecked

She did great!  Much better than I ever thought!

Cute Girls!

We were back home by New Year's and went to our friends' from church.  We did an 11pm toast and finally had the kids in bed by midnight.
