Christmas 2007

Christmas sure was fun this year with an almost 3 year old! Jackson was completely into all the music, decorations, and especially the candy! A child after my own heart, definitely not like his scroogey dad! He wasn't too present crazy until after all the presents were opened and he was wondering were the rest were. Although, as I am typing, Marcus is telling JJ that he wants more presents. Jackson is responding with a sing-song voice, "Chirstmas is over. It will come again next year!"

We spent Christmas in Pullman with Marc's family. Three of his four siblings could not be with us on Christmas day, but we still ended up having 15 people for dinner. Christmas morning was quiet, being just the 4 of us and Grandma and Grandpa. We even got to sleep in until 8 am! I am sure that luxury will end next year!

Madison was not able to be with us on Christmas, so we had to take a few shots while we could. This is the best I could get of 2 infants and a 2 year old!

We got snow a few days before Christmas, so Jackson and Grandma went out to build a snowman. The problem...JJ kept knocking his head off and pulling his arms out. So, Jacob the observer, was the only one to get a picture with the final product. This was after JJ went to the backyard to sled!

Jacob is 3 months older than his youngest cousin, but they are close in size. All he wanted to do was roll over and keep touching his face!

Gearin' up for Christmas

We took the boys to an old railroad museum that had many model trains running, cocoa and cookies, and a caboose ride to the "North Pole" to see Santa. Jackson was in heaven! As you can see, he was properly dressed in his conductors clothes, which gained him many "oohs and aahs"! Jacob was just as enthralled with all the trains.

Jackson had his first "on stage" experience at our church's Christmas program. Here are a few of the 2 and 3 year olds that made it. The only child who let out a note was Ella (far left), way to go girl! The rest of them stood there wondering what they were doing. Oh my, was it cute!

We decided to let the boys each open one of their larger presents before we left for Pullman so we would not have to pack it. I love the progression of looks on Jacob's face.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Jackson is trying to help me decorate the house. He is such a boy! Almost everything he picked up turned into a gun or some sort of "gunna getchya". Jacob is intently watching as usual.
We got dumped on with about 7in. of snow. Jackson didn't really enjoy the snow last year, this year is a different story! Face plants were his favorite!

Thanksgiving

We went to my parents' house for Thanksgiving this year. My aunt and uncle, and my Alaska cousins were able to join us, as well as Nana who now lives by Mom. It was great to see everyone and wished others could be with us.

These two cuties, which are second cousins, are both named Jacob and born one week apart. My Jacob was very enthralled with meeting his cousin.
They were both very interested in Jackson's motorized Thomas train.

My mom told us about a train store in Kirkland. Of course, we had to take our little fanatic there. He LOVED it. We spent about an hour watching the trains and playing with the Thomas set they had built for kids to play with.

The little man was exhausted from traveling. Aren't sleeping babies precious!

Fall

Fall has already come and gone, but it was so nice while it was here. Every year I seem to enjoy taking pictures under our maple tree in the front yard. It must have something to due with the Cougar colors of the leaves and the hopes of winning Apple Cup!
