Last week I got to visit my sister and her family in Florida...all by myself! My mom graciously watched the kids for me, as I had 2 days of flying and 3 days with Julie. I got in late Thursday night, and with little sleep had the morning to myself as they all had work and school. It was nice to be able to relax and I had a great companion, Baxter, to follow me EVERYWHERE and keep me company. Julie came home around lunch and we had the afternoon together before we headed to Clear Water Beach for dinner.

Frenchy's...I had my first taste of seared Ahi Tuna and also grouper sandwich. I actually enjoyed them both!

My nieces having a sand fight to pass the time while we waited for our table.

Julie trying an oyster.

On Saturday, we went to visit my aunt and cousin at St. Pete's Beach (all of this is near Tampa Bay). It was a beautiful day to walk along the beach, look at the "goods" of many vendors, have lunch, and get a taste of Mardi Gras. We finished the day with a pool party at their friend's house .

On top the the "Hurricane".

On Sunday, we went to church and out to lunch with friends. After going strong all weekend, we relaxed in the afternoon with a late snack at Fro Yo's, a fun frozen yogurt shop where you add your own toppings.
Monday morning came early as we headed to the airport at 7 am for my 9 hour trek back home! Mom and the kids picked me up and we had an early (for them) dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. It was a great time to visit Florida and we will have to do it as a family once Ryn is a bit older!
