A few weeks ago, Marcus knew that he had a long work week, so I headed off with the kids to various spots around the NW. First, we went to Portland to visit with my friend Kara. Her hubby just left for Alaska to fish, so we decided to fill her home. The kids had a great time playing, riding bikes, and eating! All 4 kids were in great spirits, which made it very relaxing for us. We got to see Kara's newly purchased house, ate at the Spaghetti Factory with Chrisi Jensen, and went to IKEA on Tues, which happened to be half-priced meatball day! We had a great dinner and a great time shopping. Thanks for all the fun, Kara!

A rare shot of both Ryn and Sierra "smiling" at the same time.

We also got to see our good friends that moved to the area a bit ago. The boys were so excited to see Leyton and Evie. When JJ and Leyton first saw each other, they gave big "man" hugs followed by Jackson giving him a nuggie (sp?) and saying, "Hey Buddy!". Too cute!

Next stop on our trip was Tacoma. We stayed with Chargulafs one night and went to Point Defiance Zoo the following day. The first afternoon we were there, we went on a walk to a park that overlooked the Puget Sound, came back for dinner, and finished with a walk on the nature trail that runs behind their house. It was very relaxing and fun!

I love this pic with each kid doing something different.

Hard to see in the picture, but Mt. Rainier was in full sight at the zoo!

Last stop, Grandma and Papa's. Ryn had a great time exploring, climbing, and playing with my sister's dog. She learned how to climb up and down on this little cart and how to climb out of her highchair! She is definitely our little Houdini!

We celebrated my mom and dad's birthday with a Turkey dinner! It was great smelling stuffing in June! Jacob "helped" Grandma and Nana shuck corn.

The boys and Emma had a great time making fruit-cabobs!
