Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

New Stairs, New Room

We decided to take our house off the market for now, with Kathryn coming in a month and then recovery time too. So, we thought we would make the house more useful for us. We have a finished attic but the stairs were really steep. JJ has always wanted his room up there and we needed to get Jacob out of the crib. It is hard to tell from the pics, but we resloped the stairs and they are wonderful! The structure of them seems much better too. You can tell a bit from the amount of window you can see at the top. We still need to carpet, but the boys are loving it and I am not huffing and puffing to get up there anymore.Old Stairs

New Stairs - The brown/blue line is the slope of the old stairs.

Here is a picture mid-project. It was very wierd to be able to see all 3 levels of our house in one stairwell.

JJ was very fascinated with the giant hole in our house.
Jackson's new bed in the attic- although he moved from a double to a twin, I feel like he is such a big boy now!

Jacob moved into JJ's bed old bed in the room next to us. He will be sharing this room with Kathryn until we feel he is old enough to move up to the attic too. The attic opens up on both ends, so each boy would have their own space. Jacob was also very excited to move and both boys did great sleeping last night.
