Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Another Zoo!

Kara and I took the boys to the Oregon Zoo in Portland. I love this zoo! The atmosphere is very themed, a bit like Disney (Could that be why I like it?). The animals are so close to you, you almost feel like you should touch them. They also have a train ride that takes you out of the zoo to a fantastic park where you can get off and play. Then it takes you back in with a "behind the scenes" look at the zoo.

Trains are one of Jackson's favorite things. He was a little nervous about his first train ride, but now keeps asking if we can go again.
Jackson wasn't scared of the baby giraffe, as it looks in the picture, but did not want to waste time taking pictures!
The alligator above Jackson's head was sleeping up against the glass. It looked like he was squating instead of being stretched out. Very unusual.

We first saw this bear from up above and made our way down to this viewing spot. When we first came to the window, we thought the bear was gone. He slowly walked around a corner and about gave us a heart attack. I have never been face to face with a bear. Thank goodness for plexiglass!

Jacob is just over 2 months old and gaining personality everyday. He has great moments of happiness and loves being the center of attention. I think we may have some issues as the boys get older! Hopefully, they will just learn to be our entertainment together. Jackson is still very sweet and protective with Jacob. We have yet to see any anger or jealousy against him! (Knock on wood!)
