Legoland

In late February, we took a trip to California.  We decided this would be the last time age-wise that our kids might enjoy Legoland.  Since Jackson is a Lego-freak and the rides are mainly geared towards younger kids, we made it happen.  We stayed with my kind-of-cousins, the McKinleys, and they joined us for the day.

Being the Disney fans that we are, we much prefer Anaheim, but we are also glad we got to experience Legoland.  The truly amazing thing is how almost EVERYTHING is made of Legos.  That is the best part. 

A few minutes before they opened the gates, God opened the clouds!  It POURED for about 15 minutes and then rained for another hour or so.  We are now the proud owners of 3 overly-priced ponchos!  But...because of the rain, and being in February, there was no wait for any ride.  We were thankful for that.

Winner for the best ride...these pirate ships slowly move around a track while the kids shoot (and get shot) by the water cannons.  They can also shoot the watching crowd of parents, which can also shoot back with cannons along the edge.  They girls wore their ponchos and hunkered down the whole time, shooting blindly.

My favorite part was "Miniature Land".  They had major US city replicas built and different lands from the Star Wars movies.
