Jackson got the opportunity to be on a Gap-to-Gap team this year. This is an annual race that raises money for local charities. He did the obstacle course leg and had a blast. His teammates had to run, bike, rollerblade, or kayak. His leg consisted of army crawling under ropes about a foot high up a hill, rope climbing, moving tires, burpies, log and hay bale jumping, balance beams, agility ladders, upper body pulls, and running. At one point he came up to another runner and started talking to him and then turned backwards while running to still chat some more before he passed him. We found out he was trying to encourage him to keep strong! .
He was coming down the last stretch here before the finish line. Being his first race, he was very excited to see many people cheering him on. He started waving and then slapping our hands! We had to "encourage" him to get moving as some other runners rounded the bend...but he didn't get passed!
Way to go, buddy!
