Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Trip to Redmond, OR

Mid-June the kids and I went with my parents to Redmond, OR, to visit some relatives.  They live in the housing area of a resort...8 miles from town.   It was easy to be amazed of God's creation; no stores, only hills, a scattering of homes, and mountain views.  These two pics are taken on their back porch, where you could see Mt. Bachelor, Broken Top, the 3 Sisters (2nd pic), Mt. Washington, Black Butte, Mt. Jefferson, and Mt. Hood from the ridge above their house.  Gorgeous!

Little Shrek

 "Uncle Mack" found some fun old stuff!

The start of our 2 mile walk/hike up to the top of the ridge.

 We made it!  Rest time.

The ground is mainly rock, which causes the trees to twist as they grow.

 We visited an alpaca farm.  What funny animals!

Papa was sneaking up quietly to not scare the alpacas, but Ryn thought it was game.

We also made a trip up to Bend and I let the "adults" go to a quiet dinner while I met a friend from high school at a McDonald's Playland with the kids.  We same 3 times in the resort pools, lounged around the house, had great coffee every morning, and yummy food!
 Thank you for being wonderful hosts, Mack and Jeanie!  We had a great time!

Stonehenge Memorial on the way home at the edge of the Columbia River

Papa was sneaking up on Ryn, but did not realize that she already made it around the column and was sneaking up on him!
 Surprise!
